Disney's World of English has been the leading at-home English learning product for children (4-10 yrs old) in the Asian market for the past 30 years.
On this 2 year project, I led a team of linguists and writers through the research and development of interactive material for the LeapPad platform that would complement the existing Disney's World of English product line. I designed the information architecture and user interfaces of all interactive games and activities.
Also serving as Art Director on the the project, I sketched initial layouts, directed illustrators & graphic designers, worked with Disney for all art approvals, and worked with printers based in Asia. I managed a team of programmers new to the LeapPad platform in implementing the embedded games and exercises.
I supervised all audio recording and editing, working with Disney Character voices for all approvals. After extensive performing extensive quality control testing in conjunction with Disney and Leapfrog, the new products were released on schedule and resulted in over US$12M in revenue in the first year alone.
